  • Urban/regional economic development and growth; problems of urbanization in developing countries.

  • Urban land use, and land use controls, location theory.

  • Financial impact analysis at the municipal level.

  • Public sector economics, with emphasis on urban infrastructure; economics of regulation, with application in the area of energy.

  • Labor market economics, with special regard to international comparisons and regional labor markets.
